Article 1: ORGANIZER
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Nigeria, 1 Adeola Odeku street, Victoria Island, Lagos is organizing a social media game which is free of charge and without obligation to purchase, from 25 June 2012 to 2nd August 2012.
Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij N.V.(also known as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines) is a Public Limited Liability Company incorporate under the laws of the Netherlands and registered under the number 33014286 and having its registered office at Amsterdamseweg 55, Amstelveen, The Netherlands.
Article 2: PARTICIPATION
This contest is open to the following country
NIGERIA
Members of the staff of the organizing companies and their families (same surname, same address) are not eligible.
Participation in the contest supposes unreserved acceptance of the present rules and all their provisions, as well as of current rules of Internet ethics and of laws and regulations applicable to free contests.
Failure to abide by the conditions set forth in these rules will result in the automatic disqualification of the entrant.
Article 3: ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CONTEST
The contest winner will be contacted by direct mail.
The contest can only be accessed over the Internet at the following URL: http://onekontest.com/ KLMNGSummerTrivia or by clicking on a link on a banner / trigger ad or E-newsletter link.
The player only is the contest participant. The purpose of the contest is to have a chance to win 1 KLM Economy class return ticket from Lagos to any KLM destination in Europe.
Article 4: DESIGNATION OF WINNERS
From all qualified participants, the tool, "OneKontest" will randomly select a winner (until 2nd August 2012) among the players whose participation has been validated. No list of winners shall be given out by telephone or by mail.
Article 5: NUMBER OF TRIES PERMITTED?
Only one try
Incomplete or inexact registrations will not be considered and will disqualify the entrant.
Only one person per household may enter the contest: same surname, same address and/or same email address.
Any person registering for the contest with several different email addresses shall be disqualified. Any attempt at fraud on the part of a participant shall disqualify all entries submitted from that household.
Article 6: PRIZE
1 Economy return ticket from Lagos to EUROPE (KLM direct operated flights only). THE Winner is also responsible for visa procurement to his / her selected KLM destination in Europe.
The 1 round-trip ticket making up one prize for 1 person must be booked and used on KLM flights only. This ticket must be used by the winner only and is subject to specific conditions. He / She will be booked for “medium-haul” and “long-haul” flights in N class. Reservation should be made in the KLM Nigeria office latest 15 days before planned travel date. Maximum travel stay is 1 month and ticket must be used (both outbound and inbound travel) before 2nd August 2013. Travel black-out periods are June, July, August, September and December. Only the cost of transport will be borne by KLM Nigeria. All airport taxes and surcharges shall be paid by the winner. All other expenses incurred by the winner shall be paid by him / her. No change may be made in the booking date after ticket issuance. The winning ticket will not count for the Flying Blue programme. The winner who belongs to the programme will not accrue Miles on the prize ticket.
The winner is responsible for all travel expenses from domicile to the departure airport and all other expenses on his / her journey.
ARTICLE 7: ATTRIBUTION OF PRIZES
Informing the winner and confirming the prize:
The winner shall be informed of his/her prize by email.
If the winner does not make himself /herself known within 30 days of the draw, he/she shall be considered to have refused the prize and no other winner shall be designated for that prize. Winners must abide by the contest rules. If the winner does not meet the criteria of the present rules, the prize shall not be attributed to him/her and shall remain the property of KLM Nigeria.
The Prize may under no circumstances be returned or exchanged for their value in money or for any other prize, nor transferred to a third party. However, in cases of force majeure or if warranted by circumstances, KLM Nigeria reserves the right at any time to substitute other prizes of equivalent value for the announced prize.
No claims or disputes may be lodged in connection with the contest prize. The Winner agrees to hold KLM Nigeria harmless with regard to the prize and in particular to their delivery, condition and quality.
Article 8: CHANGES IN CONTEST DATES
KLM waives all liability in the event that, due to force majeure or to events beyond its control, it is obliged to cancel this contest or to shorten or extend its length, to postpone it or to change its conditions.
Article 9: VERIFICATION OF PARTICIPANTS’ IDENTITY
Participants agree to any verification needed of their identity and their place of residence. Any indication of falsified, fraudulent, false, misleading, incorrect, or inexact information regarding identity or address shall automatically disqualify the entrant.
Article 10: LIABILITY
KLM Nigeria may not be held liable in the event of a dysfunction on the Internet, preventing access to the game or its smooth running. In particular, KLM Nigeria may not be held liable for any external acts of Internet abuse.
While KLM Nigeria shall do all in its power to provide users with information and/or tools that are accessible and verified, it may not be held liable for any errors (particularly in display on contest websites), or for the absence of availability of information and/or the presence of a virus on the website. Participation in the contest implies knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics and limitations of the Internet, the absence of protection of certain data provided against possible misuse or piracy, and the risks of contamination by viruses circulating on the Internet. Each participant must take the appropriate precautions to protect his/her own data and/or software on his/her computer or telephone equipment from any kind of attack. All persons connecting to the website and participating in the contest shall do so at their own risk.
Furthermore, KLM Nigeria is not responsible in the event of:
- Problems with telephone connections,
- Hardware or software problems,
- Destruction for reasons not attributable to KLM Nigeria of data provided by participants,
- Human or electrically-caused errors,
- Disturbances that might affect the smooth running of the contest or dysfunctions in the automated draw process.
KLM Nigeria shall not be held liable for the consequences of any delay in email for which it is not responsible. Any claims must be sent by the recipient directly to the appropriate Internet service provider.
KLM Nigeria may not be held liable for any physical incapacity preventing the winner from taking the plane or for his / her being prevented from entering a foreign country due to an irregularity in their papers (absence or expiration of a passport, etc.).
In any case, if the smooth running of the contest in administrative and/or technical terms is disrupted for any reason beyond the control of KLM Nigeria, the Company reserves the right to suspend the contest.
Any fraud or breach of the present rules shall result in the disqualification of the entrant; KLM Nigeria reserves the right, if warranted, to initiate proceedings against the defaulting party.
Article 11: REIMBURSEMENT
No form of reimbursements on any medium of access.
Article 13: INTERPRETATION OF THE RULES
KLM Nigeria will decide any questions relative to the application of these rules. Its decisions shall be final.
Any dispute or claim relative to this contest must be formulated in writing and sent to the contest address and may not be considered beyond one month from the closing date of the contest.

The costs incurred by the participant in obtaining the rules will be borne by the participant.
Article 14: APPLICABLE LAW AND ATTRIBUTION OF COMPETENCE
The present rules are subject to Nigerian law.
Article 15: DATA PROTECTION
Transmission to third parties of any personal data collected by KLM Nigeria in the framework of this contest is conditional upon the prior and express permission of the participant.
